We will screen I Phone You 愛封了 – a Chinese-German co-production directed by Tang Dan. The screening will be followed by a discussion about the role of humor in Chinese/Western culture & recent developments in the Chinese film industry. Arjen will moderate this discussion.

Together with the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands and Rotterdam Chamber of Commerce, CHFC initiates and organises the seminar “Effective Communication strategies in China”. We will talk about the use of B2B & B2C corporate and online video content when approaching the Chinese market. Through our NCH-network we got in touch with Jordi van den Berg, economy student at the University of Amsterdam. Jordi is currently working on his bachelor paper on private entrepreneurship in the Chinese Film industry. CHFC advised and guided Jordi in his approach and we brought him in touch with several Chinese film producers in our network for interviews. The paper is expected to be finished this summer.

We are very proud to be asked by the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) to coordinate a delegation of 20 Chinese film professionals during the upcoming festival. The delegation consists of independent documentary directors, producers, television producers and distributors. The program consists of panel discussions, industry meetings, an international TV-forum with project pitches from all over the world, film screenings, and Amsterdam city tours. The festival runs from 14th-24th November.
